We got our kittens called Sushi and Wasabi at about 10 weeks old and tried to feed them a high end super market brand food which had been recommended as being really good for kittens and their gut. Almost straight away they started to get very wet poos which smelt awful and had a few too many accidents not making to the litter in time when their tummies were really bad. We left them on this food for a while as we thought it might be them getting used to it but the problem got worse.

I did some research after talking to some ‘cat friends’ into raw food and found Luna & me which seemed the most affordable of all the raw food brands. At first the kittens weren't sure and left most of the food, I thought it wasn’t going to be a winner but on the second day then ate the whole thing and left the supermarket food I had mixed in for a gradual swap.

Now I only have to open the tray and call their names and they come running faster than the speed of light and they clean their bowls entirely and won't touch the other food at all. Within 3 days their poo's completely changed. They are now normal, they only go once a day (which has cut our litter bill!) and they hardly smell at all. It was a miracle!

The food itself doesn't smell at all which I couldn't believe at first, so much nicer than any other cat food I have seen. I also really like the treats which we got in the box and the cats do too. They are dried but look fresh and also don't smell.

All in all I am really happy with the transformation that has happened to my kittens. They seem much more settled too and seem to eat, sleep, play and repeat. I have heard that raw food helps health, gut, fur, eyes and I am looking forward to seeing how they grow given this diet. They have had no accidents since we switched food which I am so so grateful for!

Raw food is pretty expensive but compared to some of the other brands luna & me is more affordable and I hope that doesn’t change. It is easy to freeze and take out to defrost and one tray is perfect for a days feed for my kittens. Because it doesn’t smell I don’t have that awful ‘cat’ smell in the house now either which was really bothering me. The kittens also smell a lot better than they did when they were on the other food.
